Abstract

Anti synthetase Syndrome (ASSD) represents a unique subset of idiopathic inflammatory myopathies characterized by specific autoantibodies targeting aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase enzymes. Since its first description in the late twentieth century, ASSD has emerged as a clinically significant autoimmune condition due to its potentially severe pulmonary and muscular complications.
The disease predominantly affects adults and exhibits a higher prevalence among women. Because symptoms often develop gradually and vary considerably among patients, diagnosis is frequently delayed. Increased awareness among healthcare professionals is essential to ensure timely recognition and treatment.
